Round 5

Round 5 of Series X3 NSW all done and dusted for the State of Origin with Series X3 QLD. Massive 34 car grid made for some awesome racing. Was a pretty good day of racing for Matt with the only downside being an incident at the start of race 3.
 

Race 1:
Matt qualified P20, which wasn’t the best with a lot more left in the car. Matt made a good start off the line moving up a position before a safety car. After the safety car, Matt was then able to move up a few more positions to finish P17 out of 34 overall and P6 in NSW trophy which was a solid result 
 

Race 2:
Matt started out of P17. Unfortunately a slow start meant Matt dropped a few positions on the first lap. Safety car then bunched evryone back up and Matt was able to gain a few back to finish P19 overall and P8 in NSW trophy
 

Race 3:
Matt started out of P19 for race 3. Matt made a decent start before getting involved in a 5 car crash at turn 1. Unfortunately the car to Matts right got squeezed into Matt before another one was sent spinning right in front of him. This then brought out the safety car and Matt was P30 overall. Reduced race due to the safety car then gave Matt limited laps to recover afterwards but was able to recover to P30 overall and P10 in NSW trophy which was a decent recovery
 

Overall, it was a strong round for Matt. Biggest field yet that Matt has raced in and the gains found in car setup have been great.
