Round 8

2025 Series X3 NSW Series is now all done with what was another positive round to end the year off. Round 8 took place down at One raceway but in reverse on the Shelly Circuit featuring both a 15 minute sprint race and a 1 hour enduro.
 

Race 1 (Sprint):
Matt qualified P5 for what was his best qualifying result for the year. Matt was very happy with the result considering the very limited laps before qualifying. Matt made a good start holding P5. Made a little mistake on the early laps dropping to P6 but was able to recover to P4 for what was a very good result.
 

Race 2 (Enduro):
Matt started out of P4 for the enduro. Matt made a good getaway holding P4 and applying pressure on P3. Was able to move comfortably into P3 holding the spot until his pit stop. Matt then came in for his compulsory 3 minute stop. Unfortunately after Matt shut the engine off it wouldn't restart again due to a starter motor issue which ended his race early. 
 

Overall, it was a good day for Matt making more gains with the car and fighting further up the front. Disappointing way to end the day for Matt as he was set to take his first podium but to be in P3 before hand is still a big confidence boost to take into 2026.
