Round 7

2025 Series X3 NSW Sprint Championship is done and dusted for 2025 for what was a very successful day of racing for Matthew. Matt has again put a lot of work into the car between rounds and it really showed for the final sprint round of the year.
 

Race 1:
Matt qualified P7 just one tenth of P5 for what was his best qualifying result of the year. Matt was able to make a good start and move into P6 on lap one. Matt would finish P6 but had the pace to be further up putting pressure on P5 all race.
 

Race 2:
Matt started out of P6 for race 2. Made an alright start but fell down to P7. It was again a race of holding position but was a strong battle to try move further up and crossed the line P7.
 

Race 3:
Matt started out of P7 for the final sprint race of the year. Didn't get the best get away losing a few positions but was able to fight back up to P7 which was a strong result.
 

Overall, it was Matts best weekend of the year. To think at the start of the year he was P17 and well off the pace to now be battling for P5 shows all the hard work gone into this year is starting to pay off.

To top the weekend off, Matt was awarded with the 2025 Rising Star / Rookie of the Year Award. Matt was absolutely stocked to come away with this award really showing that all the hard work and progression has been noticed. A massive thank you to everyone at the Series X3 NSW club for everything they have done this year and making the racing possible and also everyone at Motor Race Australia (MRA) for everything they do to make the meetings possible. A big thank you to all of Matthew's sponsors, 313 Automotive, Medisleep, AYE Tech and VMedical as without them this wouldn't be possible in the first place.  
 

Next up:
Round 8 is back at One Raceway but in reverse to end of the year with an 1 hour enduro on November 15th. Matt is keen to give the new layout a go and end the year on a high. See you there!
