Round 6

Round 5 of Series X3 NSW all done and dusted down at the awesome One Raceway in Goulburn. Was a very good of racing for Matt making solid gains since we had last been there and moving forward throughout the day.
 

Race 1:
Matt qualified P10 which was a very good result in a strong field. Matt definitely felt he could have been higher but it was a good starting spot. Started race 1 strong moving into P8 on lap 1. Unfortunately Matt didn't quite have the pace to hold off others behind and finished P10.
 

Race 2:
Matt started out of P10 for race 2. Was a pretty uneventful race staying in P10 the whole race. Matt had pace to be higher up but unfortunately wasn't able to get a move done before the race ended.
 

Race 3:
Matt started out of P10 again for race 3. Matt got a very good start moving straight up into P8 by turn 2. Held P8 for a few laps before making a move for 7th and then holding strong there to cross the line P7 which was a great way to end the day of racing.
 

Overall, it was a strong round for Matt. Very happy with how the day progressed and the gains made. Massive thanks to Matt’s sponsors: 313 Automotive, MediSleep, and new sponsor AYE Tech. A big thank you as well to everyone at the NSW X3 Club and MRA for another great day of racing.
 

Next up:
Round 7 at Sydney Motorsport Park on October 18th. Little bit of a break now before the last 2 rounds of the season but Matt is keen to get back to SMP soon. See you there!
